American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. To maintain success, accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are critical for the organization. The Sales Enablement, Pricing and Transformation team within the Commercial Business Enablement organization is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. Our team’s vision is focused on driving of growth, profitability, and operating efficiency for GCS. SPT’s mission is to power GCS growth through the provision of informed pricing, sales enablement support and process transformation.

How will you make an impact in this role?

You will be joining a high priority and high visibility transformation program that touches many American Express cross-functional business units.

You will partner closely with teams such as Sales & Marketing, Controls Management, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Servicing, Legal, Compliance, American Express National Bank and many other Centers of Excellence across American Express to ensure we create and deliver the best products for our Commercial customers. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leader of a core team of PMOs to deliver on multiple workstreams in parallel, to ensure compliance with Bank regulations
  • Management of Product and Compliance Council, board and regulatory strategy, risk management, operations and process transition
  • Set annual program vision and program plan, handling each initiative throughout with clear communication to ensure success
  • Set PMO standards for success across RAIDS, reporting, and cross-team coordination
  • Documentation of appropriate due diligence leading to decisions enabling go-to-market
  • Clear communication of progress up to top level management; reporting on milestone progress, and raising key decisions and issues for resolution
  • Partnership with cross-functional workstream leads to align on prioritization, identify resourcing needs and connect interdependent teams and initiatives
  • Formulation of clear execution plans to successfully conclude projects within required timeframes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You are a highly motivated self-starter who is able to deliver strategic thought leadership and lead projects with limited guidance
  • Exceptional program management, communication, and relationship management skills to lead, influence and work closely with a large audience of partners at various levels of seniority and cross-functional partners
  • Proven ability to lead, promote and inspire change while creating followership and inspiring teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly complex environment and navigating between competing priorities
  • High level of integrity with ability to handle sensitive issues with complete confidentiality
  • Curiosity, a willingness to learn quickly & a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Critical thinking skills to navigate ambiguous white space
  • Previous experience with supporting a large cross-functional, change-management initiative that supports multiple domains

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of GCS business and relevant customer data landscape
  • Previous experience with legal entity governance
  • Demonstrated control mindset, with previous experience in operational risk and compliance at a Bank

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
