The Advanced Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and builds Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a care-giver for their vehicle safety and reliability.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $33.00, based on experience.

Who Will I Interact With?
This position interacts daily with customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates, and Managers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance with accuracy and efficiency as outlined on repair orders, following dealership and factory standards to ensure customer loyalty.
  • Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage workflow and maintain clear Customer communication.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the Customer.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Document work completed on each repair order.
  • Maintain an inventory of standard Technician tools not provided by the Service Department as “special tools.”
  • Stay current on factory technical bulletins and participate in factory training as needed.
  • Provide exceptional Customer experience to foster loyalty.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
  • Valid in-state driver’s license with a safe driving record
