The Expertise We Are Looking For

  • Strong skill and curiosity about 2D animation and video creation, including motion graphics, digital design, audio editing, and post-production skills.
  • Proficiency in filming, lighting, and audio recording on-screen talent
  • Technical proficiency in film and visual design software, particularly in Adobe After Effects; competency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and/or Audition is a bonus.
  • Proven experience in using UX design standard processes to effectively present design ideas, processes, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Demonstrates ability and interest to think critically and creatively while collaborating with business partners on projects.
  • Keen organizational skills and attention to details
  • 3-5 years business experience in a related role plus an undergraduate degree in animation, film design, graphic design, fine arts, or related fields

The Purpose of Your Role

This role brings to life the value and impact that Fidelity’s innovative workplace investing products offer our clients. Your motion graphic, film, and design skills will form the foundation of a video education series that empowers clients to use our products and platforms. You will be a critical member of an in-house team of technical writers, consultants, and instructional designers, helping us turn words and ideas into engaging visuals and illustrations, while also giving you the chance to absorb business skills, financial knowledge, and project management processes.

The Skills You Bring

  • You have a passion for communicating visually to help people understand and engage information.
  • You have prominent levels of technical proficiency in programs like Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with a portfolio and/or reel showing your finished work in those programs.
  • You are enthusiastic about filming and directing in-person talent in a professional manner, using your skills with lighting, camera operation, audio recording, and communication.
  • You enjoy teamwork and being the person on the team who can make visual ideas come to life.
  • You are highly creative and interested in how creative skills translate to business objectives and achievements.
  • You focus on the customer, listening closely for their needs and keeping their language and priorities top of mind as you design.
  • You are excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other partners via a distributed model, to consistently deliver design solutions for approval.
  • You are enthusiastic about resolving client struggles through phenomenal design.

The Value You Deliver

  • Crafting an ongoing and growing library of short educational videos in compliance with visual design standards, brand guidelines, legal/regulatory business processes to educate clients on equity compensation.
  • Translating storyboards you receive into video content, incorporating feedback and edits, and implementing those changes to build high quality videos with clean audio quality for final review.
  • Leading subject matter experts through the filming process to create a relaxed and professional environment to develop high quality video content.
  • Supporting efficient processes and project management practices, to sustain production work that is consistent and of high quality.
  • Collaborating with your team members and offering your visual expertise to ensure efficient workflow and quality assurance.
  • Contributing ideas for continual improvement of the video education product, as well as related digital and audio assets that support the education function, to maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Demonstrating project management skills and creative strategies to deliver high quality experiences for our business partners and clients.
